Information on the Wind Energy Foundation (WEF): 

The Wind Energy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising public awareness of wind as a clean, domestic energy source through communication, research and education.

The scholarship that is given by the WEF is given only for education and research into the continued growth of wind energy. This would mean that people apply to wind turbine technician programs would fit this description as well. There are many different types of careers & programs for wind energy and those seem to fit under this Scholarship & Grant system that WEF has setup. The only thing you have to do it is a send a letter with four main points: 1. Back on the Individual or Organization making the request 2. Purpose of the Request 3. Brief Description of the Project and How It Will Benefit the Growth of Win Energy 4. Amount Requested.
